San Diego Real Estate–How one woman used 20 boyfriends to buy her home.

A woman in China gets 20 of her boyfriends to buy her a home. Find out how. Interested in buying a home, selling a home or investing in real estate? Give me a call 619-818-2992 CA BRE #01785713 CA BRE #01295699

I can’t find even one. So, I’m sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out how a woman in China was able to get 20! Not only that, according to the New York Post, she convinced these men to each buy her an iPhone. Once she got them, she sold them for a downpayment for a home. Scam or not, I have to applaud her for her ingenuity. There are thousands of ways to save for a home. That got me thinking, how are we as Americans wasting our hard earned money.

In an article published by CNBC in June it says the number one thing we are wasting our hard earned money on is eating out. The second? Alcohol. Let’s just say for giggles, you go to happy hour twice per week and let’s just say you buy two drinks for $5, hot wings for $8 and fries for $5. Let’s say you do that twice per week. That’s $46 a week. Let’s take that one step further $184 a month. Let’s take that even further out– a year! That’s $2,208 annually! Now, I love this time of year because I love me a pumpkin spiced latte just as much as the next coffee addict, but let’s say you buy 3 pumpkin spiced lattes at $4.55 per drink. You go three times per week. You think nothing of spending $13.65 a week. Well, that translates to $54.06 a month and $655.20 a year—-FOR COFFEE! WHAT?!?!?

What else makes the list? Credit card interest, clothes, electricity, cigarettes, unreturned items that should go back to the store, convenience packaging, and lottery and gambling.

If you’re looking to buy a home or invest in your future, that means you have to be willing to make a sacrifice in one of these areas–and maybe a few. If you have questions about real estate feel free to reach out to me at 619-818-2992
